Trimming Sails

Alrighty everybody!!! I have like 10 min to write this so it is going to be very short... This week was just busy every second.  I got a taste of what it is like being an AP and it's so much work.  I don't remember a lot of the names of people we taught and met with because they were all in Elder Reiss's area. All I know is that every lesson we taught I felt the spirit so strongly and knew that we were blessing these peoples lives.  Update on Solomon...He is on date for August 11th, and he is so excited to be baptized.  Please keep him in your prayers this week.  Gaurav is slowly coming along and he should be baptized by the end of August.  The work is moving along here in India and every week I find myself more busy and loving being a missionary.  It is so hard, and so challenging, but its the greatest decision I have made so far in my life!!!  I can't wait to keep serving the Lord for the next 19 months!! That is the update for the week... sorry very short, but that's OK!  More than half of you don't read my weekly emails anyways lol!!

Spiritual Message:  I got to sit in on MLC (Mission Leader Counsel) since I was pretty much AP for the week... There were so many good things discussed and President Hansen is really turning this mission around...He loves sailing and he told us a little bit about it.  He said that when sailing, the water and wind is always changing and you always have to be aware of your sail and "Trim it", or change its direction in order to be efficient and go at the fastest speed.  When you don't check the sail and trim it when needed you slow down and sailing is just not as fun.  He related it to us missionaries and challenged us to figure out things that are slowing us down, or keeping us from sailing at the fastest and most efficient way. He said the way to trim our sails is to look in the missionary handbook and figure out the rules we are not being exactly obedient with.  He told us to follow it with exactness and we will be blessed and taken care of as missionaries.  My challenge to all of you is figure out which sails you need to trim right now to become better disciples of Christ so you can strengthen yourself and others around you.  Sorry that wasn't really a spiritual message, but I am super rushed, so that is all I got this week:)  Love you all and hope you have an amazing week.
