Hello family and friends!! Another week has passed... which is crazy!! Time really does go by so fast when you are on a mission, but it also can go by very, very slow! It's very true when missionaries say, "the days feel like weeks, and the weeks feel like days". The work right now in Hemet, CA is very... very slow. I don't have a lot to talk about on the missionary work side... I love my ward and the members are incredible, but we have just not been able to find new investigators or teach any lessons. We bike all over... north to south and then do it over again. We work all day in the sun and sweat all day. We then, almost get someone, and then we lose them... The lord is truly giving me experiences I never would have if I wasn't serving a mission right now!! I love being a missionary and I can't wait to get to India and share all the amazing crazy experiences I will have there!! I'm alive right now, getting tan, sweating like crazy and having the best food ever... they say Hemet is "Heaven" and I think I really believe that now!!!
Highlights of the week: Facetiming my family and being able to see Megan, Nate, Kenzie, Dad and most importantly my beautiful amazing Mother!! She is amazing and I'm so happy I got to see her on Mothers Day. I love you mom and I owe all I am and all I've become to you!! Thank you for all you do and continue to do for me and our family!! You are a special gift to us all and you have kept us going!!!! Lub ya honey;)
I had CHILIS for dinner on Wednesday!!!!! Brooke and Justin know why this makes me so happy and excited, but yah!! I got the usual... steak and chicken fajitas, and some chips and salsa... I had to stay away from the lava cake cause I'm starting to get a little chunky which is not ok!!! Boy do I love Chili's!!!
We had service at the community pantry this week. Me and Elder Cox were together for exchanges and we served for two hours. We were done and went to get our bikes and both seats were gone😂 We had to bike like 3 miles home without a seat and it was just a funny, embarrassing moment/memory. I've gotten used to wearing the handy dandy mission helmet.. I know God just wants me to be safe!!! Well that's how my week went!! I love you all and pray for you everyday. I love being a missionary and this church is so true and amazing! I truly stand all amazed at the love Jesus is offering me. I will leave you all with a spiritual thought/message that I thought you all needed to hear and it's a very important thing to remember!
Spiritual thought:
Do not let Satan make you question your identity as sons and daughters of our loving Heavenly Father. In Moses 12-13 satan tried to make Moses question his identity when he said:
12 And it came to pass that when Moses had said these words, behold, Satan came tempting him, saying: Moses, son of man, worship me.
13 And it came to pass that Moses looked upon Satan and said: Who art thou? For behold, I am a son of God, in the similitude of his Only Begotten; and where is thy glory, that I should worship thee?
When you ask the question "Who am I??" always remember that not matter what... you are a SON or DAUGHTER of a loving Heavenly Father who will never leave your side.
